Refund & Cancellation Policy – Learn & Turn Driving School

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, rescheduling requests, refunds, and lesson package credits are handled by Learn & Turn Driving School (“Learn & Turn”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
By booking driving lessons or purchasing lesson packages through our website, you agree to this policy.

1. Services Covered
This policy applies to:
Assessment Lessons
Individual Driving Lessons
Block Booking Packages
Intensive Courses
Refresher Lessons
Driving Test Preparation Services
Any other driving-related services offered by Learn & Turn Driving School
As Learn & Turn provides educational and training services, no physical goods are supplied.

2. Cooling-Off Period (Online Purchases)
Under UK consumer law, customers purchasing services online may be entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period.
However, if you request that lessons begin during this 14-day period and those services have already been delivered, you may be charged for any lessons completed before cancellation.
Where services have been fully delivered, the right to cancel may no longer apply.

3. Lesson Cancellation by Students
More Than 48 Hours Notice
If you cancel a lesson more than 48 hours before the scheduled lesson time:
No cancellation fee will apply.
The lesson may be rescheduled or credited to your account.
Less Than 48 Hours Notice
If a lesson is cancelled within 48 hours of the scheduled start time:
The full lesson fee may be charged.
No refund may be provided.
Rescheduling is not guaranteed.
Failure to Attend
If you fail to attend a scheduled lesson without notice:
The lesson will be treated as completed.
No refund or credit will be provided.

4. Lesson Rescheduling
We understand that circumstances may change.
Students may request to reschedule lessons by providing at least 48 hours’ notice.
Rescheduling requests are subject to instructor availability.
Repeated rescheduling may result in restrictions on future bookings.

5. Instructor Cancellations
If Learn & Turn cancels a lesson due to:
Instructor illness
Vehicle breakdown
Adverse weather conditions
Emergencies
Operational reasons
You will be offered:
A replacement lesson, or
A full credit for the affected lesson
No additional compensation shall be payable.

6. Block Booking Packages
Unused Hours
Unused hours purchased as part of a lesson package may be eligible for a refund subject to the conditions below.
Refunds will be calculated based on:
Lessons already completed at the standard lesson rate, and
Any applicable discounts removed from the package price.
Example
If a discounted 10-hour package is purchased and 4 hours have already been completed, those hours may be recalculated at the standard hourly rate before any refund is issued.

7. Intensive Driving Courses
Due to instructor scheduling and resource allocation:
More Than 14 Days Before Start Date
Eligible for a full refund less any administration fees.
Between 7 and 14 Days
Partial refund may apply.
Less Than 7 Days
Refunds are generally not available.
Requests will be assessed individually where exceptional circumstances exist.

8. Driving Test Bookings
Where Learn & Turn assists with test-related services:
DVSA Fees
Any fees paid directly to the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) are governed by DVSA policies and are not controlled by Learn & Turn.
Vehicle Hire for Test Day
If a vehicle has been reserved for your driving test:
Cancellations with less than 7 days’ notice may not be refundable.
Vehicle hire charges may still apply.

9. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be issued using the original payment method wherever possible.
Refunds are generally processed within:
5–10 working days
depending on your payment provider or bank.

10. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will generally not be provided where:
A lesson has already taken place.
The student fails to attend.
Less than 48 hours’ cancellation notice is given.
The student arrives under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The student behaves in a threatening, abusive, or unsafe manner.
The student is not legally entitled to drive.
Services have been fully delivered.

11. Exceptional Circumstances
We may consider refunds outside this policy in exceptional situations, including:
Serious illness
Medical emergencies
Bereavement
Other circumstances at our discretion
Supporting evidence may be requested.

12. Our Right to Refuse Service
Learn & Turn reserves the right to terminate lessons or refuse future bookings where:
Safety concerns arise.
Inappropriate behaviour occurs.
False information has been provided.
Payment obligations are not met.
Any refund entitlement will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Refund Policy: Lessons cancelled with at least 48 hours’ notice may be rescheduled or credited. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the lesson time and missed lessons are generally non-refundable. Return Policy Statement
Since Learn & Turn sells driving lessons, lesson packages, and educational services only, and does not sell physical goods, a traditional return policy does not apply.
No Physical Products: Learn & Turn Driving School does not sell physical products. Therefore, product returns are not applicable. All purchases relate to driving lessons, training sessions, and driving-related services, which are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
